EU security logo
The EU security logo can be found on websites of online medicine retailers that are included in the German Register of Online Medicine Retailers.
It does not have any significance in itself. However, in three simple steps, you can reduce the risk of ordering from websites of dubious suppliers.
How do I use the EU security logo?
Click on the logo: If retailer is included in the register, a DIMDI website opens containing the retailers’s register entry.
Check whether the website address (URL) in the adress bar after the https:// begins with "versandhandel.dimdi.de/". Pay particular attention to the forward slash (/) after ".de".
The lock symbol in the adress bar indicates that the web page is trustworthy (colour and design varies with different browsers). It confirms the validity of the website’s security certificate and that a secure connection with is produced. Check by clicking on the lock symbol and opening the certificate that you are really on a DIMDI web page.
Open the retailers’s website through one of the links indicated in the register. Do not use your browser’s back button and do not return to a window that may still be open.
What appears in the register?
In a register entry you can find contact data with one or several Internet addresses of the online medicine retailer if applicable and of the respective competent supervisory authority.
