BfArM here is offering you the opportunity to electronically apply to register your item, e.g. an institution or a document. Following receipt of the electronic application you will receive an e-mail as confirmation.
We will examine your application and, if successful, we will swiftly issue you with an OID for the item that is the subject of the application.
What do we check?
- Is the OID application complete?
- Is the item clearly described, i.e. table values included where necessary?
- Are the URLs valid and correct?
- Is the item still not registered somewhere else? (Please check this possibility in advance.)
You will then receive an e-mail with the item ID for the item for which the application is made. We reserve the right where reasonable either to refuse to issue an OID or to issue a modified OID. Very infrequently it may be necessary to consult with the standardisation board, which can lead to a delay in the allocation of an OID.
