GMDN - Global Medical Device Nomenclature

The English GMDN has been developed by the European Standards body CEN under a project sponsored by the European Commission. GMDN is supposed to be translated into the major languages of EU-Member States.

Until a German translation of GMDN will be available UMDNS and EDMA classification are the official nomenclatures to be used in Germany. See the GMDN website for further information.
