ICD, published by the World Health Organization is used all over the world as a diagnosis-related classification. The German language editions have been published by DIMDI on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Health. The current revision is ICD-10, a special edition for tumor documentation is ICD-O.
For mortality statistics the German lanuage edition ICD-10-WHO is used. For ambulatory and stationary medicine a special adaptation to the requirements of the German Social Security Bill (Sozialgesetzbuch, SGB), ICD-10-GM is used. more »
DIMDI offers files of some old revisions of ICD. ICD-9 is available in the German translation by DIMDI, ICD-8 and ICD-6 are available in the translations of the former German Democratic Republic.
