ODT, PDF and XML formats

ODT (OpenDocument-Format) is an LibreOffice format. LibreOffice is an open-source comprehensive office software bundle which uses the OASIS OpenDocument format as the standard storage format. OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is an international organisation dedicated to the continuing development of web standards and supported by all leading information technology providers. The OpenDocument format was confirmed as ISO standard ISO/IEC 26300 in 2006 and is the document exchange format recommended by the European Commission. More information and the LibreOffice bundle for download is available on the LibreOffice homepage:

Homepage of LibreOffice

PDF (Portable Document Format) is an open standard (ISO 32000). PDF files contain data from any applications and are platform-independent, i.e. they can be displayed on any computer using a range of free of charge PDF readers.

XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a markup language for the representation of hierarchically structured data in form of text files. The XML-versions of the classifications are based on ClaML (Classification Markup Language), a special XML notation for classifications, established by WHO since 2005 and accepted as European Standard in 2007 (DIN EN 14463:2008-02). The European Standard was replaced by an international standard in 2012 (ISO 13120:2013-11). Same as TXT files, XML files can be read and edited by any editor; however, the use of a specific XML editor is recommended.
