Reimbursement System for German Hospitals

The self-governing bodies of the German health care system are responsible for the coming system of Diagnosis Related Groups. This system is based on the medical classifications published by DIMDI (ICD-10-GM (former SGB-V) and OPS (former OPS-301). Thus DIMDI acts as an advisor to these bodies for all problems related to classifications that come up during the development and maintenance of the new DRG system.

On this webpage we have compiled information on the application of medical classifications to reimbursement purposes. General links on classifications unrelated to their application to reimbursement purposes are available here.
