HTA Board of Trustees

The members of the HTA Board of Trustees represent the self-administration of the German health system, consumers and industry. In particular, they advise the DAHTA in the following areas:

• Selection of topics for HTA reports according to a predefined, standardised prioritisation procedure
• Promotion of information exchange on HTA within the German health system
• Promotion of collaboration and information exchange with other HTA institutions, domestically and in other countries

Members

The BMG (Federal Ministry of Health) appoints the institutions that are represented on the HTA Board of Trustees. The regular term of office for appointed members is three years. The members of the HTA Board of Trustees are derived from the following institutions:

• Federal Ministry of Health
• Joint Federal Committee
• German Medical Association
• German Dental Association
• Federal Union of German Associations of Pharmacists
  
• Federal Board of Psychotherapists
• National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians
• National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists
• German Council of Nursing
• German Hospital Organisation
• Private Health Insurance Association
• Organisations for protection of the interests of patients and self-help for chronically ill and handicapped persons (as per §140f SGB V - German Social Code)
• Association of Scientific Medical Societies
• National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds
• Scientific Board of "Health Technology Assessment" at the DIMDI

• Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care
