The current contractual provisions of the DIMDI licence agreement require that two pricelists for database search be produced every year (on 01 January and 01 April). This makes the estimation of search costs and control of invoices more difficult for our contract customers.
The reason behind this is DIMDI’s current contractual obligation to announce price increases by the various database providers three months in advance. As not all database providers announce their price changes for the following year far enough in advance, an additional price change – and therefore a second pricelist for a calendar year – is required as a rule. The corresponding provision contained in the current DIMDI licence agreement is to be cancelled as of 01 January 2012.
In future, DIMDI will announce database search price increases that are to come in to effect on 01 January of a calendar year by 30 November the previous year per internet. This does not apply to price increases made by database manufacturers at short notice in the course of the year. Changes of this kind will be announced in the internet in future under Database Search – Prices and Conditions – Price Lists one month before they become effective.
This procedure involves an amendment of the licence agreement which our contract customers must consent to in writing. We will be notifying our contract customers in person and in detail about the new licence agreement in the next few days and sending them the reply sheet with which they can give their consent to the amendment. If no written reply is received by 02 September 2011, the previous licence agreement will be terminated automatically on 31 December 2011, thereby ending the contractual relationship.
You will find the new licence agreement (version July 2011) online under Database Search – Prices and Conditions – Premium Search – Contract (see link below). You can access the previous licence agreement at the same place to compare the two (see link below).
