EMBASE expanded: 8 million new documents from 2.000 journals

The manufacturer Elsevier expands EMBASE with 2,000 journals. Starting from June 30th, 2010, the database includes more than 7,000 journals and grows to over 24 million documents. The eight million new entries come from the MEDLINE database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). more »

DIQ-databases will be closed May 31st 2010

DIMDI will stop publishing the two DIQ-databases (Documentation and Information System for Quality Assurance) on May 31st 2010 which have not been updated since 2005. DIQ documentation and DIQ projects contained bibliographical references and measures for quality assurance in medical fields. more »

The German Law on the Amendment of medical device regulations comes into effect on March 21st, 2010. These regulations pertain in particular to the new obligation to obtain a permit for clinical investigations/performance evaluations of medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics. DIMDI has adjusted the Medical Devices Information System to the new statutory regulations and converted concurrently the system to the DIMDI SmartSearch menu-driven interface. more »
