Database Search Prices at a Glance

At DIMDI you can search in approx. 60 medical databases. About 25 databases, among them MEDLINE, are free of charge. You can search without a licence agreement or as premium user with a licence agreement. Please consult table 1 for the document prices of the databases for the two different access methods. The complete journal articles can be accessed online or ordered online at a library, see table 2 full text prices.

Search without a License Agreement

Searches can be carried out directly for free in a large number of databases even if you do not have a license agreement. You can pay the fee-based document requests by credit card, document prices see table 1.

Premium Search with a License Agreement

The licence agreement gives you unrestricted access to all public databases. Searches with charges are invoiced quarterly, in case they exceed 50,00 € gross price (otherwise together with the annual administration fee). In addition to the annual administration fee, retrieval related costs arise for database selection/opening, document output, special functions and processing of standing orders. Prices for complete Journal Articles Online

Electronic full texts can be accessed partially via DIMDI directly and partially online via the Elektronische Zeitschriftenbibliothek (EZB) interface with other providers via the link "full text" in the database document. The prices for the full texts are set mainly by the publishing houses and Cochrane respectively. The following prices apply to DIMDI full texts.

Prices for library orders of complete journal articles

You can order copies of full texts with different libraries online. The prices per full text depend on the library choice (approx. 5,00 €). Detailed information about the conditions of the delivering libraries are found under Database Search - Original Literature.
