Ordering Literature with DIMDI ClassicSearch

To order literature using DIMDI ClassicSearch you can choose between order via the full text link in the document and the command options CALL SERVICES and ORDER.

Literature Order via the full text link

After opening the document (e.g. by clicking on the title) and clicking on the »fulltext» button at the top of the document, various options are displayed to obtain the full text of the article. If you want to order a copy of the full text at a library, click on »order copy». In the next step, you can select a library in which the full text is to be appointed. The library TRAIN serves only for training purposes and does not trigger fee-order.

To request an order form, click on »continue». The necessary details for the order are completed here. Kindly distinguish between standard delivery, express delivery and super express delivery. Express delivery and super express delivery are more expensive. The supplier offers several media of delivery and delivery format. The choice should match, otherwise an error message will be sent. For the supplier you can enter several addresses and comments. You have to state the user group (explanations please see »Info» button) and the invoice type. Click on »continue» for a confirmation of the order with order number.

Literature ordering with CALL SERVICES

Following a search you can call the service functions to order literature by inserting the command CALL SERVICES. After that the options "Service Functions" are displayed in a new browser window.

Enter the Statement Number to be processed in the lower part of this window. The last search step is pre-set. Furthermore you can specify the desired records by entering the corresponding Record Number. The value 'ALL' (all records) is preset. (Statement Number and Record Number are necessary only if the option "Literature order for current search" is chosen.)

Click on the desired option under the heading 'Literature ordering':

For a description of these options see Literature Ordering with DIMDI SmartSearch.

A complete literature order will be confirmed with an order number. Please close this confirmation and click on 'DIMDI ClassicSearch' on the starting page 'Service Functions' to return to the command level.

Literature ordering with the ORDER command

Following a search you can also order copies of the desired records with the command ORDER.

Ordering for the current search

The desired documents must be identified by the corresponding statement number S and record number R.

Please note: When R is not entered, all records of statement number S are ordered.

ORDER S=12;R=2;9
ORDER S=12;R=6-9

Ordering via number of document

The number of document (ND) can be used to order documents independent of the current search. Then, the corresponding database must be identified by the database key. Several numbers are separated by semicolon. If all documents belong to the same database, the database key is entered only once following the last number.

ORDER ND=2000070556/EM90document from EMBASE (EM90)
ORDER ND=2000070556/EM90;98186811/ME90first document from EMBASE (EM90), second document from MEDLINE (ME90)
ORDER ND=98186811;98081820/ME90both documents from MEDLINE (ME90)
