Full texts
The documents in most of DIMDI’s literature databases contain only bibliographic
data (name of author, title, list of references, etc.), data based on contents (key words) and
quite frequently abstracts. Full texts can be obtained in various ways:
Access to free full texts
- Out of documents:
In many databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, DAHTA, Deutsches Ärzteblatt or XTOXLINE links to free of charge
full-texts are included directly into database documents. Following the URL the full text can be
opened free of charge. - Via Fulltext button:
Every document contains a fulltext button
where you can check availability of fulltexts via the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
A green traffic light
represents full texts that can be accessed
directly and free of charges, in case of yellow lights parts of the full texts will be charged.
Furthermore a connected link resolver of your institution can check if you have free access
to full texts licensed by your company.
Access to fee-based full-texts
- Full texts can be ordered directly at connected libraries following literature search:
An order independent of a literature search is also possible directly
entering bibliographic data.
- Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews:
DIMDI premium customers are enabled to open and save electronic
full texts of the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews directly as a PDF document with costs. In
case of database access without a contract, the full text is available via shopping cart and pay
per view.
