The German National Library of Medicine (ZB MED) is the Federal Republic of Germany's central specialist library of medicine, health, nutrition, the environment, and agriculture. The library's collection contains both German-language titles and international expert literature, which is made available to their users locally and via its document delivery services. ZB MED hold more than 1.3 million volumes of books and journals. Of the 18,000 journal titles, 7,800 are acquired on an ongoing basis. The ZB MED is also offering an increasing number of digital media and multimedia products.
