British Library Document Supply Centre (BLDSC)

The British Library Document Supply collection hold journals, books, conferences, reports, patents, theses, official publications, music scores and images, in the field of scientific, technical, medical and human knowledge. BLDSC provides a rapid document supply service, with a variety of delivery methods.

The supplier can deliver nearly complete from all databases.

Terms of delivery

You must have an account with the BLDSC before making an order. Full details are available from the Customer Help Centre (Link see below). Orders are electronically transmitted to the BLDSC. No express orders are possible via DIMDI. When ordering you will have to enter your assigned Supplier-User-Identification (SUID) and British Library password within the SUPPLIER parameter of the ORDER command or in the orderform of the DIMDI SmartSearch service function.

When using DIMDI ClassicSearch command language it is entered in the following way:
the supplier short name (i.e. BLDSC) first, followed by a semicolon (;), followed by the parameter name (SUID=), including your BLDSC password (in parantheses).

Example: ORDER SUPPL=BLDSC;SUID=identification(password)

In the orderform of the DIMDI SmartSearch service function "fulltext ordering" and "CALL SERVICES" you are asked for IDENTIFICATION and PASSWORD.
