How do I use PPS (preprocessed searches)?

In DIMDI SmartSearch, select PPS in the filter under general concepts, thereby incorporating them directly in your search.

In DIMDI ClassicSearch, you can list the PPS available in the database using the DISPLAY PPS=? command. You can link any desired search stage of your search with AND PPS=[Name].

We always offer thematic PPS under the same name, even if they are specifically adapted to individual databases. This means that PPS HUMAN is called HUMAN in all databases.

Please note when searching in a superbase – e.g. XMEDCORE – that the individual PPS are not offered in all databases. An "AND" link with a PPS that is not available in individual selected databases would exclude these databases from the search result.
