Are there any preprocessed searches for frequently searched topics, questions or search complexes?

DIMDI offers 23 preprocessed searches (PPS) for your research. These can be used to restrict your search result, for example to side effects, or to documents that refer to the human organism.

We have developed our PPS for research in bibliographical databases. They are backed by very comprehensive search arguments that facilitate your searches. These search arguments are already preprocessed, which is why they do not require any additional waiting time. PPS can be directly integrated in a search and are particularly useful for databases without controlled keywords such as controlled terms.

Science and language are constantly evolving, whereby specialist terms also change. Consequently, we cannot guarantee 100 per cent completeness of the PPS.

PPS are database-specific. This means that the same PPS are not offered in every database and they are adapted to suit individual databases. The 4 main search profiles (AIDS, ANIMAL, CANCER, HUMAN) can be found, however, in almost all bibliographic databases. Which PPS you can use in an individual database can be seen in the appendix of the respective database detailed information.
