Which topics do the databases cover at DIMDI?

The core of the available data consists of more than 50 medical databases with records and abstracts of scientific literature or facts from the whole spectrum of medicine and its periphery (medicine, drugs, medical devices, Health Technology Assessment, toxicology, the health care system, health care telematics, biotechnology, psychology and veterinary medicine).

In addition to the major international databases, such as MEDLINE, EMBASE, BIOSIS, SciSearch and a multitude of special databases (e.g. Cochrane Library or PSYNDEX), DIMDI provides exclusive access to data concerning authorisation and reporting of drugs and medical devices.

A full text archive is offered for some databases like the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and the Deutsches Ärzteblatt. Additionally several databases, e.g. MEDLINE and EMBASE, include links to free fulltexts if available. Furthermore, DIMDI offers an availability check for full texts through the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) and likewise through local link resolvers by means of publicly usable registration services.
