Special Notes

The references added to an article by the author are available online starting II01 and can be used like search concepts; the method is called "Citation Indexing" (see RF data field).

Unit records referring to books, journals, or series about conferences are characterised by document type (DT) "Main Entry" additionally to "Book" or "Journal" or "Series".

Data concerning the individual contributions to a conference (proceedings papers) published in the sources mentioned are contained in separate unit records with document types "Meeting Abstract" etc.

The same Genuine Article Number (GAN) is assigned to the Main Entry corresponding to the individual papers of each conference. The GAN is contained in the Source field (SO) of every unit record.

Since the availability of data fields is not the same in the different document types (e.g. CF field is not available in DT = Main Entry records), additional data may be retrieved by means of the GAN.

The following sample records show two Main Entries, a book and a journal, and two corresponding conference proceedings.

Standing orders (SDI) are possible for Premium Users.

AB:To meet the IMO (International Maritime Organization) target of 20% reduction of CO2 emissions from marine activities by 2020, application of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) on ships is an effective way to mitigate the CO2 emission while other low carbon shipping technologies are being developed. A comprehensive literature review on CCS methods used onshore has indicatedthat the current CCS technologies could not be implemented on boards mechanically due to various limitations on ships. In this paper, a novel chemical CO2 absorption and solidification method for CO2 storage onboard is proposed, presented and analyzed. Technical feasibility with principles explanation and cost assessment are carried out for a case ship with a comparison with conventional methods. The paper also presents results obtained from laboratory experiment. Theoretical study and laboratory experiment have shown that the proposed CO2 solidification method is a promising, cost effective and practicable method for CO2 emission reduction on ships.

AB:Research and development in the area of paraproteinemic demyelinating peripheral neuropathy is slower than for some of the other inflammatory neuropathy syndromes. However, 2007-2008 has produced developments in the understanding of the pathogenesis of the neuropathy and the paraprotein, a potential new animal model, easier diagnostics, and two randomized controlled trials with the results of others awaited. This short review summarizes these publications.
