EMBASE (Excerpta Medica Database) covers worldwide literature, especially from Europe, in the field of human medicine and related fields with special emphasis given to drug research, pharmacology, pharmacy, pharmacoeconomics, toxicology, basic biological research, health policy and management, public, occupational and environmental health, and substance dependence and abuse. Since February 2010, we offer EMBASE with its ClassicFiles. This archive completed EMBASE to 1947. The database contains all citations of the printed Excerpta Medica sections as well as additional literature. Sources include approx. 7,000 international journals from 70 countries (including journals of MEDLINE). Bibliographic information, indexing terms, and abstracts (approx. 80 %) are searchable.
