Permissions

PSYNDEX records may be downloaded subject to the indicated conditions for the following purposes:

  1. Temporary storage
    (a) Temporary storage, in electronic form, of search output retrieved online is allowed for the purpose of editing, reformatting, or printing. Copyright and source acknowledgment "PSYNDEX (C) ZPID" is required for all edited, reformatted, and printed information. The integrity of the abstract text must be preserved.
    (b) Up to 25 copies of a printed output may be made for distribution to employees, staff, students, or bonafide consultants of the customer organisation. These copies may not be offered for sale.
    (c) Information brokers or libraries acting on behalf of clients may sell printed search outputs to a single client only. Clients must be informed of the copyright rules.
     
  2. Long-term storage and re-use of data
    (a) Incorporation of records or any part thereof into another database is only allowed for personal use or if use of the data is restricted to employees, staff, students, or bonafide consultants of the customer organisation at the downloading site.
    (b) The customer acknowledges that the copyright in the data downloaded is the sole property of ZPID. Each record downloaded must include the copyright and source acknowledgement "PSYNDEX (C) ZPID". Abstracts must remain unaltered.
    (c) Data are not to be sold other than one copy of data by information brokers or libraries acting on behalf of clients.

Prohibitions

(a) Making more than 25 copies, sale of more than one copy of data by information brokers or libraries acting on behalf of clients, translation or alteration of abstracts, publishing of data other than bibliographic information only (specifically publishing of abstracts, test descriptions, key phrases, descriptors, subject headings) in printed or electronic products (diskette, CD-ROM, DVD, Internet, etc.) such as bibliographies, literature reviews, information bulletins, etc., including those for use only within an organization, requires prior written permission from ZPID.
