Drug Information System

According to § 67a of the German Drug Act (AMG) DIMDI is authorised to set up a central information system on medicinal products in co-operation with the German Drug Regulatory Authorities and the Competent Authorities of the German Laender. Additionally to the official information in the Drug Information System AMIS you will find comprehensive information concerning pharmaceutical substances and medicinal products marketed nationally and internationally (e.g. application, adverse effects and interactions).

Databases - AMIS, ABDA amongst others

  • AMIS: Information on approved and formerly approved medicinal products; developed by the German Drug Regulatory Authorities
  • ABDA  -  Databases: Information about medicinal products, substances, interactions as well as the latest announcements
  • Stoffbezeichnungen: Terms of drug constituents to be used in the marketing authorisation application
  • Bibliographic Databases: Current information about medicinal products and substances, e.g. MEDLINE, EMBASE, IPA (International Pharmaceutical Abstracts), Derwent Drug File
